Products may be ordered by clicking on the articles you wish to purchase and following the instructions on the screen. You may review your order and correct any error up until order submission. Submission is completed by clicking the “Pay” button on the checkout screen.
After having completed an order, the customer receives a confirmation email indicating the order has been received and the confirmation number.  

Shipping Policy

India Based Shipping:

  • The Connoisseur orders are delivered Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. 

  • We try to offer free shipping for most of our products. within India

  • Most of our products are directly fulfilled by independent artist & galleries. If you purchase artworks from more than one different gallery or more than one different artist, they may be delivered to you in different packaging and on different dates.

  • The actual shipping time is anywhere between 2-10 days depending on the order location. After a purchase is made you will be kept informed regarding the expected delivery date of your purchase.

  • Though your order might take time to reach your doorsteps according to the location but be assured that shipping charges will be free.

  • Most of our artwork is shipped with a rolled case that ensures optimum safety for the item but in some cases, it is not possible to roll hence we ensure that our seller crates it well.

  • Deliveries are made by selected top courier firms mostly Bluedart/DTDC for domestic. All shipments are insured and the cost is included in the price.

  • Authenticity: Buyers may note that all Art Work posted for sale by Sellers on the Website is supported by an Authenticity Certificate from the Seller and The Connoisseur does not issue any Authenticity Certificate or guarantee. Sellers/artist are bound to deliver such Authenticity Certificate to the Buyer along with the delivery of the concerned Art Work.


International Shipping:

  • For international shipping please contact us from the contact page with your interested ' product name-SKU 'and your country of shipping. You can also write to us at

  • We will get in touch with you asap and facilitate your request.

  • We mostly use DHL for shipping to international clients.

  • A price quote will be sent to the interested buyer after consulting with the seller. The price quote will include item price, shipping cost, insurance or any customs related cost (if applicable) as well as with the information of the mode of payment which will be most probably through direct bank transfer. Once the payment is received the fulfilment process will be initiated. The Buyer will be apprised from time to time about the status of order as well as provided with order tracking details.

Customs,Duties & Taxes

As most of our items are shipped from India hence there are 'No' customs & duties charges in products ordered within India.


This below section only applies to you in case you are ordering from International based locations.

International shipments there are basically two methods:

  • DDU, which stands for “Delivered Duty Unpaid,” is a shipping method that requires customers to bear the responsibility for any taxes or duties owed on an item. The customer will be contacted by customs upon delivery and has to settle these fees for customs to release the shipment.

  • DDP, which stands for "Delivery duty paid," is a shipping method where all the customs, duties & taxes are paid upfront by the customer during placing of order.

Currently, all the seller follow DDU & hence the customer is responsible for payment of any import duty or tariff. Please note we have no control over such taxes, and we cannot estimate their amount in advance. Please contact your local customs office for more information before placing your order. We recommend that you make yourself aware of these requirements before placing your order.

However, in case the custom duty can be included upfront (DDP) then we will mention it to the interested buyer in the price quote.


Return & Exchange Policy

                                                                                   Damaged/incorrect Product order:

  • Artist & galleries on 'The Connoisseur' follow 3-day return claim policy for damaged/incorrect goods. The customer needs to claim within 3 days of order received. The claim should happen directly with the seller contact mentioned on the invoice sent by them with the original shipment or through the contact details mentioned on 'The Connoisseur' website.

  • We ask that your return be shipped back in the original packing materials and container provided by the gallery


  • The return shipping cost will be incurred by the supplier in case of damaged/incorrect product deliveries.

  • Damaged Art Work: On delivery, if Buyer receives the Art Work in a damaged condition or if the Art Work is not as per the specifications provided on the Website with respect to such item then the Buyer should not accept the parcel and notify The Connoisseur or the seller immediately. Buyers are expected to understand that since each Art Work is individually created there may be slight variations in shade and colour of Art Work. No complaints in this regard will be entertained by The Connoisseur. In case an Art Work is returned, The Connoisseur will refund the payment or issue a credit note to the concerned Buyer and cancel the order. However, NO GOODS WILL BE RETURNED ONLY BECAUSE THE BUYER DID NOT LIKE THE ARTWORK HE/SHE HAS PURCHASED.


                                                                                                Undamaged orders:
Exchanges: We don't encourage exchanges on undamaged products. However, if still needed we request you to directly contact the independent seller and settle any claim.

However, bear in mind that exchanges on undamaged products/correct product orders will require the consumer to pay for the return shipping as well as for the insurance cost in return shipping.


Returned items must comply with our returns policy
